Conor McGregor’s appeal to overturn a jury’s decision ordering him to pay €250,000 in damages to Nikita Hand for alleged rape was rejected by Ireland’s Court of Appeal.

Mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor has lost his legal bid to overturn a jury’s decision ordering him to pay compensation to a woman who accused him of rape.
Ireland’s Court of Appeal on Thursday rejected McGregor’s appeal in full, upholding the original verdict.
Plaintiff Awarded €250,000 in Damages
The case stems from an allegation made by Nikita Hand, who accused McGregor of sexually assaulting her on December 9, 2018.
In a civil trial last year, a jury found in Hand’s favor and awarded her nearly €250,000 (approximately $285,250) in damages.
McGregor, 36, has consistently denied the accusation, maintaining that the encounter was “fully consensual.” He also rejected claims that he caused physical harm to Hand, including allegations of bruising.
Despite his efforts to contest the jury’s findings, the Court of Appeal dismissed all grounds of his appeal, leaving the original judgment intact.
