Neeraj Chopra Paris Diamond League 2025 Highlights:

Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra triumphed at the Paris leg of the Diamond League 2025 on Saturday, surpassing Germany’s Julian Weber in the French capital.

Chopra’s throw of 88.16m secured him first place, edging out Weber, who finished second with a best effort of 87.88m. Mauricio Luiz da Silva came third with an attempt of 86.62m.

The double Olympic medallist, Chopra, started the day with an 88.16m throw, followed by an 85.10m effort, and then recorded three consecutive fouls. However, his opening throw was sufficient to keep him at the top of the leaderboard.

Julian Weber, who had pipped Chopra to the top spot in the two events leading up to this one, couldn’t surpass Chopra’s throw, with his best attempt of 87.88m coming on his first throw of the day.

Mauricio Luiz da Silva’s best throw of 86.62m, achieved in his third attempt, placed him third. Keshorn Walcott’s top effort of 81.66m in his second throw earned him fourth place.
