Casemiro is close to securing a high-profile switch to the Middle East in the January transfer window.

Manchester United’s Casemiro seems set to be leaving the Premier League giants in the winter transfer window. The midfielder has reportedly agreed to a move to the Saudi Pro League. Casemiro’s destination is not confirmed yet but his move to reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr could be a possibility if he ends up joining the Saudi Pro League. As per Brazilian outlet UOL, Casemiro is close to securing a high-profile switch to the Middle East this winter. The article went on to claim that the Saudi Sovereign Fund have practically closed the transfer but the club Casemiro will move to is not known yet.
It was reported a few days back that Cristiano Ronaldo himself had made a personal request to Al-Nassr officials to sign Casemiro. The Brazilian has made 105 appearances for Manchester United since moving to Old Trafford from Real Madrid in 2022. Casemiro currently has 18 months left on his Manchester United deal.
Earlier, GIVEMESPORT had claimed that Casemiro has been given an opportunity to become one of the highest-earners in the Saudi Pro League. It was reported that Casemiro was offered a £650,000-per-week contract that could see him depart Manchester United to join Al-Nassr in January.
The report mentioned that the Saudi Pro League sporting director Michael Emenalo is driving the process to bring Casemiro from Manchester United. It was stated that if the deal takes place, Casemiro would be on course to join Al-Nassr.
Casemiro’s future at Old Trafford seems uncertain having missed out on his place in the starting line-up since head coach Ruben Amorim’s appointment in November last year. Casemiro had started the first two Premier League matches under Amorim against Ipswich Town and Everton but he was an unused substitute in the next couple of games.
Casemiro was used as a substitute in a 2-0 defeat against Wolves. The 32-year-old returned to the starting line-up against Newcastle United but he was again dropped for the Premier League contest against Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are now placed at the 13th spot in the Premier League standings. Having played 20 matches so far, they have collected 23 points. In their next match, Manchester United will be up against Arsenal in the FA Cup on Sunday, January 12.
